Aurora Apartments

Aurora, a preservation of a 1929 National Register of Historic Places in San Antonio, stands at an impressive 11 stories of neo-gothic brick. This high rise was originally the Aurora Hotel, a bustling state-of-the-art hotel, which now houses Section 8-qualified senior community members. The construction process for this project included renovating one floor at a time and relocating tenants. Features included removing and replacing existing elevators, a new boiler, replacing electrical gear, preserving interior millwork, amenities, and matching existing tile. Tenants can enjoy energy-efficient features, updated kitchens, and more. Pavilion was especially excited to take on the challenge of procuring historical finishes to preserve the integrity of this breathtaking building.
